honda cb650 cafe racer | ugly motor bikes

found this in the ever-inspiring motart:

the guys who built this bike call themselves ugly motorbikes. they’re in san diego and started their run this summer. this is their first bike, a honda cb650 they quickly stripped, mocked-up, and built to their liking as a clean and mean cafe racer the call “the ugly cb650.”

the ugly dudes are named christopher and brady, they’ll work on anything of any age, seeking to make each bobber or cafe simple enough to reveal the character of the bike, all while making the rider “look cool as ****.”

that’s a nice gesture.

it has become trite to use the word “vintage” to describe the style of a cheap custom build because i can name at least a dozen bob and cafe builders who use that word in their propaganda or company names, but the bike looks great, i dig the minimalist look, and am glad they cleaned up the wires to the brake light for the short video below.

[EDIT 02.18.12: this bike is now for sale. check out more purty pix of this bike like the one below, recently posted on silodrome >>
