stuff about a former custom motorbike company

Before the cool stuff, I have to make a seperate post about Elswick Cycles.

This team of brothers have been in biz for a couple of years, but Robert Elswick has been building bike frames for over a decade, starting as a welder for Dynatec. In those years he assembled and welded more than 5,000 frames for companies such as Exile Cycles, Big Dog Motorcycles, American Iron Horse, and many more.

In 2008 Robert decided to start his own biz and offer “high quality frames, parts, and accessories for traditionally-styled choppers and bobbers.” Elswick provides individual garage builders and small shops with top quality, incredibly reasonably-priced parts.

On top of all that, they are donating the hardtail portion of the frame we are building for the FREEDOM OR DEATH MACHINE.

[UPDATE 02.29.12: it is apparent that elswick cycles are no longer in business. the sites who used to sell their products no longer do, their flakebook and blog pages haven’t been updated in a year, and i’ve heard a few stories from folks who purchased things to never see them arrive. i do not know what happened and sincerely apologize to anybody who read great things about them here but were eventually ripped off. i know what that is like. what i got from them was great and it saddens me to see they disappeared, taking money along the way. peace out, metric mofos. tomorrow will be a better day.]
