hotshoe customs kz1000 chopper

Okay, this is not the kind of bike I usually profile here on bM, but I couldn’t help myself because this bike, while it has a couple elements I could do without, is freaking rad (bro!).

It’s called “Bodacious,” and it’s a Kawasaki KZ1000 inline four that’s been supercharged to 250 horsepower. The builder, Shannon (AKA Shoe), has been working since he was a wee lad as a motorcycle mechanic with his dad. He is now a full-fledged motorscooter fabricator. From Harley to Honda, sportbike to cruiser, he digs them all.

While I’d change the wheels and knock the rear tire down 100mm to an Indian Larry standard 200, I simply can’t believe the power this thing makes, and many of the design elements on this radical metric chopper are really slick. The saddle, the drive, the hand tooled leather bags, the exhaust, all the tight mechanical work…. Just be careful turning left.

Check out his website at Hotshoe Customs and click around a bit. There’s a lot to learn about the man, his experience, and his bikes.

Gotta love them drunk Smoke Out hussies. Her knuckles say NERD. I can’t imagine what her others say.

Check out this video to learn a bit more about the work done to build the bike:
