our friend arpad emailed that his 1982 yamaha xs400 is tracker finished. he and szakal from art deco motorcycling took this bike:
and after over nine months, made this bike:
szakal made a hardtail for the rear and replaced the wheels and the forks with stock xs400 parts. he then shaved the forks and lowered the machine about two inches (5 cm).
the gas tank and mudguards are from a cz175 sport but were modified by art deco motorcycling.
other parts used to make this clean and kind of raw metric bob-a-tracker are a honda cb750 headlamp, cb450 turn signals, and old pannonia scrambler handlebars.
besides the frame work, szakal created and/or significantly modified the exhaust, seat, fenders, and handlebar mounts.
other parts suppliers provided electrical and other pieces to finish off the bike as a street-legal machine.
