upgrade my sweaty ***

Whew. Bought a new laptop yesterday. It’s got a giant 17″ 16:9 monitor, 4MB of memory and a 500-gig hard drive. Been working for two days to make it do what I say. The b**ch. It’s learning who’s Daddy with not-so-gentle ctrl-alt-del prods and strong cursing.

When I break it’s will, it will obey with soft complicity to my demands with the resignation of a tool I shall use for my own pleasure and to extend my grip on world domination.

Received this photo in an email from my brother yesterday. It’s our old rock band in some dude’s van (the guy in front), drinking fine malt liquor he probably bought for us, smoking cigarettes we probably stole, and generally bragging about how f***ing badass we were. My bro played drums. He’s on the right with the huge hair. I’m next to him, doing what I often do for posterity. ***. 1991 was crazy. Lots of hair was still in style. Tadd, the cat to my left with a smoke dangling from his mouth, was about 17 and fresh out of two years in jail, but man was he a killer bass player and a fun dude to hang with.

My f*** you gesture fits perfectly with the frustration I’m feeling toward Microsoft right now. Those Windows7 ads you’re seeing on TV? All happy with smiles and laughter? Lies. What a f***ing hassle to just get my emails set up. Outlook won’t work so I downloaded Thunderbird and it’s kinda sucky. I miss the old school simplicity of Outlook Express but Microsoft had to kill it. Now I’m boned.
