no future tokyo

got a message from pete young from occhio lungo on facebook yesterday asking if i’d spread the word about the no future tokyo group, friends of the esteemed shinya kimura and ayu. they’ve taken off to sendai, where the quake happened and where the tsunami had the biggest impact. they’re getting donations and going directly to the people with goods. food. water. sleeping bags. women’s toiletries. clothing. more. here are some pix from their blog:

they’re not keeping anything. there are no administrative salaries to pay. no overhead. just straight-up giving to their people.
