Hi does anyone know of a site that I can get triple tree dimensions from, so that I can change bike front ends with other models. For example I recently replaced the front end of an xs750 with the front end of a fzr 600. the fzr has a longer triple tree so the centre shaft needed to be modified. This made me think it would be nice is I had known the dimensions of the fzr in advance.
You’re probably best checking out forums or researching the individual bike, as far as I know there isn’t one fork size glossary. At best you might find old mechanics books from the 70s that listed a variety of specs on all models from a particular brand, but those have been out of print for 30 years and weren’t great in circulation even at the time.
Hey everyone im a 35yr. Old dad. I had a badass 750 honda chopper but sold it. Then i baught a standard gl1100 for 1500 and found out they haves starter issues. I own two 1983 Honda Nighthawk 650SC bikes both with issues. I need to find a good local re-builder to work with to make one great bike from dead old original metric bikes.
Bob,
You have a Man named Stealth, he has a leather and flute shop. Contact him for some guidance and Tyler him Landy gave you the info!! Good luck. Those nighthawks are great machines..
