limeybikes!

Hey guys, I'd like to introduce you all to Chris from Limeybikes here in Austin. Matt hooked me up with him and he'll be doing some mechanical work on the Freedom or Death Machine.

Chris probably wouldn't consider himself an expert with Yamaha XS650 motorcycles, but that's because he's modest. I can tell you he knows his stuff and doesn't have to think twice. Here is an example of his mastery of the XS650 motorscooter, The Hornet:

You may be able to tell that the cooling fins on this baby are a little larger than the standard XS fins. That's because he bought and installed a 750cc bore kit. Vroom! Or is it KABOOM!? Guess we'll find out.

Other engine mods include a Shell No.1 cam, race clutch set-up, a bunch of head work, and flat slide Mikuni RS36's, which he managed to squeeze in with many hours of hand-wringing over tea and crumpets.
